Clothing Allowance

Hello Everyone-- just inquiring about clothing allowances and issued gear. We only have 2 Code Enforcement Officers and we're issued absolutely nothing as far as boots or an identifying jacket. The only thing we've received is an orange traffic vest. We are in plain clothes and buy our own boots. Just curious as to how it works in other agencies?? Thanks.

Feb. 23, 2023John, in Benton County since i've been here, i have been able to have my administration purchase me a ballistic vest with identifying labels including last name, and Code Enforcement and badge. I also wear a duty belt that allows me to carry pepper spray, retractable ASP, and a radio to communicate to patrol and dispatch. I also have polo shirts with code enforcement and County insignia and a embroidered badge for when in the office. I also have a jacket with same identifying labels. I purchase my own boots, shoes whatever i feel comfortable wearing. I get uniform budgeted in every 2 years during our budget cycle.
